Donta “Ty” Holder
Handyman, mobile mechanic, IT tech
Most people need a different guy for the leaky sink, the squealing brakes and the slow laptop. With Ty, it is the same call. Pick the bench, then pick up the phone.
Repairs, upkeep and small builds, inside and out. If something in the house or yard has stopped working, call it in.
Mobile mechanic work that comes to your driveway, from routine fluids to a full engine swap. Lawn tractors too.

The tech shop half of the name. Slow desktop, a virus that won't leave, or a new machine built to spec.
Not on the list? It probably still is. Call (762) 217-4719 and describe the job.
“I needed multiple repairs at my Athens rental with only three days to spare. He answered immediately, came out the next day, and delivered quality work at a great price.”
Photos from the job: trees, decks, floors, yards and cars, across Hull, Athens and the towns around them.
No tow, no waiting room. Ty brings the tools to you for diagnostics, brakes and rotors, oil and fluid changes, and bigger jobs up to an engine swap. He will tell you what the car actually needs, and nothing it doesn't.
“Out of all mechanics he isn’t trying to rip you off. He is honest and will only tell you what you need off of his observation. He was quick and thorough. I had a little trouble finding him at first but he was very understanding. I’ll be using him from this moment forward to address all my mechanical concerns. He also doesn’t mind coming to you either.”

Owner, Ty's Handyman & Tech Shop
“One day I woke and realized that with all of my experience and skills that it just didn't make sense anymore for me to not be working for myself. One month later my wife, Amanda, had me at the court house filing my DBA and making sure I had everything I needed to be successful in this business.”
That was 2019. Since then Ty has kept adding to the toolkit: home maintenance and repairs, plumbing, tech fixes and mobile mechanic work for Athens and beyond. The focus is the same on every job, big or small: detail, efficiency and your satisfaction.
Some jobs from the book: an old shed torn down and hauled off, a new one put together and everything moved back inside. Garden boxes built in a tight window. A gaming desktop built for a teenager who says it took his gaming to the next level, and thanks Ty every time.
